An Addition to the NYC Skyline

A new icon will soon be joining the New York City skyline. Located in the center of Manhattan, 432 Park Avenue will be the tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere reaching 1,396 feet. The luxury building boasts 104 luxury condominium complexes equipped with 10-foot-by-10-foot windows, heated bathroom floors and the option to purchase a climate-controlled wine cellar. In addition to the extravagant living quarters the tower also includes 30,000 square feet of private amenities for residents including a 75-foot pool and massage therapy room. Upon its completion early next year, 432 Park Avenue will be the third tallest building in America and have the highest roof in New York City rising above both the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. To accommodate it’s tremendous height, every 12th floor was left open to relieve the wind vortex on the structure and prevent the building from swaying.

From the ground to the roof, Kenseal Construction Products distributed specialty construction products for this building. Some of the highlights include supplying 275,000 linear feet of Dow Corning® 756 for the caulking on precast concrete, Grace Preprufe® and Bituthene® 3000 for waterproofing the foundation and Laticrete® for some of the stone work. The Kenseal team is well-educated in multiple aspects of the construction industry..
